Sweet Summertime...

Where is the world is the summer going??  We spend every spare moment that we can on the lake.  Michael is working in Fayetteville and comes home every other weekend; sometimes every two weekends.  Jacob is working five days a week at the boat dock, and has nightly activities.  Roger is busy with his job.  Me?  Well I'm just taking care of Jacob and getting him from point A to B. Loving my summer break! This is what we love to do the most...spend time on the lake....

GOOD BYE SUMMER

We said good-bye to summer this weekend. Bull Shoals Lake is so much a part of our summer. We all love the lake. It is so beautiful and clean. Michael was home for the weekend, so we spent time on the lake. It was PERFECT weather.

Sweet Summertime....

Can't believe that it has been a couple of weeks since I blogged! Where does the time go!? Oh- I have been enjoying my summer so much. I've posted several pictures and they are in no particular order....just random of what has been going on...just hanging with boys!
You know we have been doing alot of this...LAKE time. I took this one tonight coming off the lake, we are so lucky to live so close to a gorgeous lake and all enjoy it.

Scuba gear....Michael LOVES to scuba dive. You have to have a partner to dive with you. This is just some of the equipment that he wears. It takes him awhile to get ready for the water dive.

Jacob LOVES to mow and weed eat. Weed eating is just something that we have let him start doing this year. He is on the lawn mower daily.

Boys and I went out one day this week...and the seadoo quit on Michael. WE are not happy. We have spent a small fortune on this water toy! Roger and I are off to Heber Springs tomorrow to take it to be worked on. Heber is the closest authorized seadoo dealer for us.

Baseball season is over for us....we will miss it...but time to move on to another sport!

That's the latest happenings around here. Michael has been home for the last week- he is between summer class break...he will head back to Fayetteville on Tuesday! :(

BIG DAY..

WELL... six years ago, I dropped Michael off at his first job! This morning- six years later, I dropped Jacob off at the same place!! Jacob started to work this morning. Right now he will work Monday's and Friday's. We are thankful for the opportunity for him to have a job at this age, and get exposed at how to make a buck. He is home now, and had a great first day. He made $4 in tips today. It's been bittersweet today, because I can't believe that my "baby" actually has a job. (He has a baseball game tonight, so should sleep well later!)

Me and my mom! She came up yesterday, and we (me, her, and Jacob) went to Springfield. I was on the hunt for a swimsuit (no luck). We had a good lunch and a nice day together. We made it back home before the big storms hit.

Off to Fayetteville in the morning for some basketball tournaments with Jacob. We can't get enough ball. Roger will be coaching Jacob's team..we are looking forward to a weekend with both boys.

I LOVE SUMMER...

Um, did I say I LOVE summer!? This is what I did today... {I have a friend that lets us use the pool at the resort}
No need to say anything further... lovin summer break, and I am very fortunate to have the job that I have that allows me to have a summer break! Truly thankful.

Sadie/Etc..

Well, Sadie is still here! They put a pink bow on her when she went to the vet. Sooo cute.

She took a little ride to Fayetteville to meet Michael. Michael is crazy over her! Too bad he isnt' here to help take care of her.

Went to see Lynyrd Skynrd and ZZ Top Friday night at Lampe, MO. Outdoor concert. Great way to start summer. It was our last day of school as well!

Boys played tennis today. Michael headed back to Fayetteville tonight. He is taking summer classes.

Sunday on the lake...

Typical Sunday afternoons are spent on the lake. Michael always has to work and doesn't get off until about 3:00. The older kids don't always hang with us...sometimes they do their own thing on the lake, but most of the time they will hang with us. Today was one of those days. All the kids hung with us....we had a nice day....

Going on a little boat ride to Pontiac, MO to eat at "Just Jackies" with friends...Cindi and I decided we needed hats....such a great friend.

Roger had about more fun than he could handle today. He has played in a golf tournament this morning ... benefit for the Christian Clinic in Mtn. Home..then hung out on the lake in the afternoon...this is him trying to sleep after our dinner at "Just Jackies"....
