Christmas Time..

Been awhile since I've made a post. Have been so crazy busy. School, basketball games, shopping, LIFE. Michael made it home December 19. He will be home for a month! And I am so happy! We made our annual visit to Silver Dollar City last week. We all LOVE going to SDC.
It was a gorgeous night!

Already November..

WOW- can you believe it is already November? I'm super excited about November. Michael will be home for Thanksgiving and get to stay longer than a weekend! I can't wait!!
Homecoming was last Friday night. We always have a homecoming parade-
Jacob riding on the Jr boys/girls basketball "boat"- some of the kids see how hard they can throw the candy. I'm always afraid someone is going to break my lens!
The Jr. boys weren't on the schedule to play at Homecoming, but on Thursday evening they discovered they got to play. Jacob was SUPER pumped.
He had an outstanding game. Several 3 points shots. He had a total of 9 points! :)
We got up early Saturday morning and headed to Little Rock to play in the Fall Fest soccer tournament. I can't even remember how many years we have played in this tournament...Michael's team use to always play in it. How tradition continues.....we were short soccer players, didn't win any games, but the boys gave it all they had. Roger and Bill Butcher are their coaches- and might I say-are so much more mature than some of the other coaches! The boys are lucky to have them!
Can he look any more like Michael? Has the same love for soccer as he does too!
Good job this weekend Jacob - we are proud of you!

Soccer Time

I know, I know...it's been a long time since I have blogged. I've had a very hard time adjusting to going back to work after being off all summer. It's been hard not having Michael around. And Jacob has a very busy schedule. Michael hasn't been home since Labor Day weekend. He is busy as well with his college life. Soooo...what's been going on? It's soccer season! We played soccer all weekend..perfect weather...here are a few pictures of Jacob from the week-end...

YEAR 2

Well...it was good-bye's today as Michael left for Fayetteville. It was a little different this year than last. We didn't go with him today (not that I didn't want too...but he said he had things he had to take care of when he got to Fayetteville). He has been staying in Fayetteville 3 days out of the week all summer long, doing lab research-so he is set up in his room (Fraternity house). So it wasn't like it was a major moving day today. But it sure was rough on his momma for him to leave!
Packing up...
Good - bye kiss from momma...(don't think he was too excited about it) hehe
Here he is driving down the road...it about broke my heart. I thought I would be better prepared this time around...but guess what? I'm NOT~ I miss his presence here at home, his laughter, his smile...I just flat out miss the boy! I know he is going where he needs to go...but its still tough.....NOT our typical summer Sunday's anymore..........WHERE DID MY SUMMER GO?

This N That...

Just been chillin' with my favorite guys.....before total craziness sets in....
NEVER too old to ride a go-cart...boys have been riding it alot lately...

The boys and I hung out on the lake Monday for a couple of hours. It was my last day of "summer freedom". Michael is not working at the dock anymore...he has taken the week off for some much needed rest! He has worked 7 days a week all summer.
Ping-pong has become a nightly tradition around here. Michael normally won't play Roger because he beats him so bad....but tonight, he decided to play him (daddy won). Michael normally beats Jacob. Jacob has beat daddy a "couple" of times. Mommy doesn't play..they are all way too good for me! :)
I went back to work today for good! Inservice tomorrow...school starts Thursday. Jacob had middle school orientation tonight...we got his class schedule...he is ready for classes to begin. Michael leaves Sunday for college. Where in the world did summer go?????

22 YEARS

Friday night Roger and I celebrated 22 years of marriage!

We went to PJ's in Norfork for dinner. They had our table decorated.
We both had this rib eye steak and salad. It was delicious.
22 years - hard to believe. We have had an incredible journey together. We have a good life and two great boys. My life couldn't be better. I am so lucky to have found such a wonderful partner.....

Florida Vacation

We just returned from a 5 day vacation in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. It was wonderful. The beach was good...no oil or tar balls. We enjoyed our family time and much needed rest and relaxation. I've loaded a TON of pictures in no particular order... so enjoy. Pictures speak for themselves. I'm tired and going to bed.

NEVER too old to build sandcastles!
Taa dah...

Gotta have a little pool time.....

A storm brewing...
Love him...

Jeff and Michael borrowed a canoe and went out in the ocean.
