Sledding Day...

OH MY GOODNESS! What a great day we had today. We got to sled for a couple of hours today and I got to take a few "snow" pictures. We joined some friends at Fairview and had a big time.

Someone would ride the 4 wheeler down to the bottom of the hill and bring the "sledder" back up the hill.

It was a race between Jacob and Alex. I think she crashed and burned!

Picking up his brother.

Roger can sled with NO hands!
These are our "England" friends. It's Jeff's sister and her husband...we love them. They are a blast to be around.
Nobody to pick Michael up...so he walked up the hill.
I even gave it a try and was SCARED to death! It was fun though.
I walked back up the hill too
LOVE the shot of these two.
We had to leave our sledding party sooner than we wanted to, because we had to get home and eat lunch and get Michael on the road. It is so good to have him home and so hard on me for him to leave. We had such a GREAT day-so glad it was spent with our friends and both my boys got to enjoy the day.
And what would a snow day be without the older brother hurting the younger brother and putting snow in his face--all because Jacob hit him with a snowball!ha

ANOTHER SNOW DAY!

It started freezing rain and snowing Thursday and it finally stopped snowing early this morning. We got about a foot of snow! It is gorgeous! Michael made it in Thursday night before the storm..so he has been with us!

AND....we woke up this morning with a sick boy. Had to take Jacob to ER...his ears were hurting and a major sore throat with a fever. He has strep throat! Bless his heart. He feels awful!

Celebration!

Roger's mom and dad celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on Friday. We had a suprise dinner for them at a restaurant in Jonesboro. We were so happy that we got to share in this celebration! The only person missing from our party was Michael. He had other obligations and was not able to join us. :( We still managed to enjoy our food, cake and visiting.

Made this scrapbook page for them as a celebration of their years of marriage.
Jimmy and Lyneva with their three children. They are pretty amazing! Happy Anniversary!

WE WON!

WE did it! The 7th grade boys won tonight! It was a tough game and they played their hearts out. It is only our 2nd win of the season--but this was major competition tonight. Coach got a little aggravated "several" times with Jacob.
I'm your biggest fan, Jacob! Way to go!

He Left Today!

My heart is sad again tonight. I've dreaded today since he came home in December. Michael left for college again today. He has been home almost a month! It was so good to have him home. We had no worries, no places to be, lazy days, and some snowy days. It was a very nice break for him....one that he sure needed! He is all rested up and ready to move forward with his next semester. I'm just counting down the days until semester is over and we can begin our summer. We love this kid so much... and wish him nothing but the best for his next semester.

We will ALL miss you! But know you aren't too far away! Good luck this semester!

New Year/Snow Day

I can't beleive another year has passed us by. What a HUGE year 2009 was for us. Roger changed job positions, and became Human Resource Manager, Michael graduated high school, (Roger gave him his diploma--that was O-mazing) Michael left for college, baby became a teenager...and I learned how to deal with some empty nest syndrome (still dealing).

Such great boys. Taken New Year's Eve night. We brought in the year with friends. I don't make New Years Resolutions...'cause I don't ever keep them.
Michael and Roger on New Year's Eve. I didn't get a family picture. :(
SUNDAY MORNING we woke up to SNOW...ALOT of snow. We were only suppose to get a "dusting"...I think we got around 4-5 inches. It's still snowing. No school tomorrow...probably none for the rest of the week, 'cause it's suppose to snow somemore later in the week. (I'm not sad, because that's more time with Michael before he leaves again). So today we all enjoyed some time outside playing in the snow.
